Nikko Asset Management

Nikko Asset Management entrusted TRS to advise on their transaction, fitout, and make good. Nikko briefed TRS with a Stay vs Go project, with TRS to investigate the market and consider renewing in their current space. TRS’ independence and ability to advise on all three components of the lease process were key factors in Nikko’s decision. Another value-add was the adherence to strict timing and budget constraints. TRS negotiated with Investa to allow extended time for Nikko to relocate out of their previous premises, relieving time pressures.

Following an extensive market search, Nikko relocated to Tower 1, Barangaroo. During the fitout process, TRS managed expectations and ensured contractors kept the fitout to their budget and requirements. Nikko and the design team chose a mix of Australian and Japanese imagery in a nod to Nikko’s heritage.

The project was highly successful and resulted in a unique and attractive fitout and strong leasing deal in one of Sydney’s premier commercial precincts. Nikko are excited about their new workspace, which enhances their cultural and operational requirements.

“Nikko AM embarked on a 12 month project with TRS to identify new office premises, negotiate our lease and manage our new fitout. We were happy with the overall service and the importance of TRS’ independence, that added value to both the lease negotiations and fitout process, to ensure that we achieved value for money.”
